ASU PREPARATORY ACADEMY HONORS MORE THAN 900 SENIORS
REPRESENTING THE CLASS OF 2025 FROM SEVEN HIGH SCHOOLS
More than 650 proud graduates celebrated a major education milestone Monday evening as they received their high school diplomas during a commencement ceremony at Desert Financial Arena on the Arizona State University campus. These students represented all seven high schools within the ASU Preparatory Academy network, including ASU Prep Phoenix, ASU Prep Polytechnic, ASU Prep Casa Grande, ASU Prep South Phoenix, ASU Prep Digital, Global Academy at ASU Prep and Khan World School at ASU Prep.
ASU Prep’s Class of 2025—more than 900 students in all—spans hundreds of Arizona residents, as well as students from locations across the country and internationally who attended ASU Prep courses in person, online or both. National and international Digital students who were unable to attend in person celebrated with their families via livestream at home.
This graduating class set a new record with an astounding 10,669 hours of concurrent coursework earning college credit hours through ASU. What’s more, hundreds of these grads will continue their education at ASU this fall—many with academic scholarships and acceptance to prestigious programs, thanks to the rigors of the ASU Prep curriculum—while numerous others are headed to top-ranked colleges and universities across the nation.
To kick off the celebration, Amy McGrath, ASU Vice President of Educational Outreach and Student Services and Managing Director of ASU Prep, welcomed graduates and their families.
Following the procession of the Class of 2025, graduate Reeya Sthapit (Gilbert) performed the National Anthem, while the Pledge of Allegiance was led by graduates Vincent Perez (Casa Grande), Mikayla Jose (Casa Grande), Daniel Martinez (Casa Grande), Louis DeCastro (Mesa), Thatcher Ganes (Queen Creek), Yazmin Hernandez Monroy (Phoenix), Luis Molina Ornelas (Phoenix), Xavier Laurent-Gilson (Reno, Nevada) and Jaden Washington (Phoenix).
