Melia Caribe Beach is beyond spectacular, it is the stuff dreams are made of. Big enough to offer an amazing array of amenities, yet small enough to feel safe and comfortable. It offers quiet romantic corners for couples, and loud boisterous activities for families. No matter the reason for your trip, be it a family getaway, or a couples vacation, this resort will truly not disappoint.

I was lucky enough to get to stay recently, with 30 of my fellow Macaroni Kid publishers, at Melia Caribe Beach Resort for our annual Macaroni Kid Boondoggle. The couple of months leading up to the trip were so hard, it was all I could think about, the light at the end of the tunnel. Being a healthcare worker in a pandemic is exhausting, it was time to unwind. This would be my first major trip since the start of Covid, and with the last year being such chaos, I was truly ready to connect in person with these girls, and enjoy some relaxation and sunshine. If I could only tell you one thing about Melia Caribe Beach, it would be that this resort was beyond what I ever could have imagined.

When I think of a tropical vacation, I think of white sand beaches, turquoise ocean waters, crystal clear pools, delicious food, and lots of fruity tropical drinks. What I didn’t think was that a resort could not only offer all of these things and do it with ease, but that it could offer way way more! It took my visions and dreams, and cranked them up to a whole new level. This resort has managed to intertwine with it’s adults only sister property Melia Punta Cana, so that people of all ages can find what they are looking for. They have made it possible to have family fun by day, and adult fun by night. Splash in the water park with your kids at noon, and a few hours later have a romantic dinner and a moonlit beach stroll with your spouse. There are plenty of resorts that do the family concept well, as well as those that cater to adults only, but Melia Caribe Beach and its sister property Melia Punta Cana have managed to do both without missing a beat.

Not only is the resort beachfront, with amazing white sand beaches and turquoise waters, but it offers an array of pools from adult only to family friendly. There are kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear for those who are adventurous, and an awesome water park that is even equipped with waterslides. They offer daytime activities such as crafts for the kids, as well as a Kids Zone for children aged from 8 months, that is open from 9am to 8pm. There is even an array of sports activities such as yoga, aqua Zumba, and water volleyball, for those who want to get in a workout after dining at one of the 13 amazing restaurants the property boasts. From Vietnamese to Italian, there is something for even the most discerning palate. Don’t forget to save some energy for the incredible nightlife, from silent karaoke to dance parties and the casino, there is definitely fun to be had. And don’t worry, we know a long day at the beach or pool is exhausting, the resort has you covered with complimentary tram rides for all guests, and a personal concierge driven carts for those staying in The Level section.

After a day filled with new memories created, it’s time to recharge for tomorrow’s adventures, and trust me you will not be disappointed. Melia Caribe offers an array of room layouts that can accommodate families of all sizes. We were lucky enough to stay in a Level Grand Suite, and let me tell you, I didn’t want to leave. The room was over 800 square feet, and had a separate living room with pullout couch, kitchen with full size fridge, dining area, and a soaker tub that could fit a small army. There were also adjoining rooms that could be added, to easily accommodate larger groups. The Level is Melia’s exclusive VIP room level that includes personal concierge service, exclusive pools and restaurants, and is full of special touches to guarantee an unforgettable stay.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort has so much to offer, from the gourmet foot and white sand beaches to the crystal clear pools and luxury rooms. The level of service offered at this resort is second to none, and when it comes time to book your next vacation, I highly suggest you take a really close look at this exceptional resort. I cannot wait to return next year with my family, I know they will have as much fun as I did, and I cannot wait to share this adventure with them and build more memories.
